Title: Senior / Principal Consultant – Electrical/Grid/Transmission

Job Overview

The Senior/Principal Consultant will lever their existing network to prospect and develop leads and convert consultancy assignment opportunities and work on and/or project manage consultancy assignments forelectrical design, grid connection, and general engineering of offshore wind farms. Manage the teams of multi-disciplined engineers needed to deliver our scopes of work, including both OWC and non-OWC staff.

The initial key objective for this role will be to develop the capability within OWC and prospect, win and deliver initial assignments. The opportunity for the holder of this role is to grow a team within the OWC office network.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work as technical lead on projects to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to clients with the timeframe, costs and quality standards established
  • Represent OWC as a key domain expert, sharing knowledge and experience to support the wider development of competencies within OWC to enhance overall assignment execution to clients

Title: Geotechnical Engineer – Contractor role

Job Overview

The Geotechnical Engineer will work as part of a team, primarily carrying out site specific assessments for jack-up vessels. This is a 1 year contract role specific to a recent project win for OWC.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare geotechnical analysis and study to assess site condition for offshore unit installations
  • Analyse geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations and prepare reports for site-specific leg penetration analysis
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assist in the design and evaluation of offshore structures and foundations, particularly of geotechnical aspects
  • Attend regular internal meetings and external / third party meetings as required
  • Work on or lead projects to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to clients within the required timeframe, cost and quality standard

The Principal Consultant will leverage their existing network in the USA Offshore Wind sector to:

Taiwan

Title: Country Manager
Reports to: Director of APAC
Location: Taipei, Taiwan

Job Overview

The Country Manager Taiwan is responsible to the OWC Director of APAC for the direction and control of all commercial and operational aspects of the OWC business within country. The Country Manager Taiwan is responsible for growing OWC’s renewables business in Taiwan. Initially focusing on the offshore wind fixed and floating segments of the market. The first priority is still build upon the early establishment of the office which has now been completed and to grow the business by broadening out to offer OWC’s full consultancy offering portfolio to serve this geographic market. The main driver shall be to extend the client base, securing new work in the process from our existing clients and ensuring turnover and profit levels are in line with budget expectations. The focus will be on organic growth and the business unit will build on OWC strengths and reputation and Aqualis Offshore ‘in region’ infrastructure and offshore capability. The role will require close co-operation with the Aqualis regional team to mobilise their support and to effect cross selling where suitable activities present themselves.

The Country Manager Taiwan will ensure efficient delivery and service to all internal and external customers, and give the highest level of customer satisfaction, whilst in parallel setting up the business in the region and achieving organic growth and financial success.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The primary responsibility is to manage the Country commercially and operationally to grow the business within Taiwan and to look further afield for other business opportunities in other APAC countries.  This is to be done whilst maximising profitability and also ensuring quality, performance improvement and customer service delivery are maintained.

The role includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Responsibility and be accountable for OWC’s Taiwan business unit’s further establishment, development and performance
  • Development of strategies, action plans and associated budgets to achieve the growth plans
  • Commercial responsibility for developing business in Taiwan (in conjunction with the OWC Director of APAC)
  • Management of organisational arrangements, systems and processes to enable the efficient and effective deployment of resources in line with and supporting the development
  • Implementation of approved budgets and plans
  • Implementation of Aqualis group policies and procedures throughout the business
  • Delivery of engineering deliverables as part of discrete assignments or supporting projects being delivered to clients in the offshore renewables sector on a global basis
  • Working with the existing Aqualis teams in the other regions to jointly market services where appropriate, share resources as appropriate and cross sell opportunities wherever possible
  • Responsibility for recruitment against an agreed recruitment plan as part of the financial budgets
  • Responsibility for close control and management of sub-contractor qualification, quality, costs and performance
  • Overall management control of the OWC Taiwan business unit to ensure progressive turnover, acceptable profit margins and to main good cost control and cash recovery

Job Overview

Wind Turbine Generator Contract Manager (Commercial)will report to Project Director and will assist in project development, procurement and construction activities for Offshore Wind Projects in Taiwan.

Key Responsibilities And Duties

  • Responsible for working with main stakeholders: partners, advisors and team members to manage diverse Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) related elements for this project

Job Overview

Lead Permitting Specialist is responsible to carry out and manage the permitting and consenting tasks and report to APAC Director.

Candidates must have experience within the offshore wind industry in Taiwan, having worked for a developer/consultancy/governmental authority in a similar role. Candidates must be fluent in English and Mandarin.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead, manage and grow the OWC permitting team
  • Help clients understand and mitigate permitting / consenting risk of their offshore wind projects
  • Deliver permitting assignments on time, budget and to a high-quality standard

Job Overview

The Senior/Principal Consultant will lever their existing network to prospect and develop leads and convert consultancy assignment opportunities and work on and/or project manage consultancy assignments for a range of offshore renewables O&M and asset management topics or problems. Manage the teams of multi-disciplined engineers needed to deliver our scopes of work, including both OWC and non-OWC staff.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work as technical lead on projects to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to clients with the timeframe, costs and quality standards established
  • Represent OWC as a key domain expert, sharing knowledge and experience to support the wider development of competencies within OWC to enhance overall assignment execution to clients
  • Generate and prospect leads – Including representing OWC at conferences, seminars and meetings to establish business development leads and to market OWC to prospective clients
  • Follow up on leads to generate new work
  • Independently prepare tenders and proposals
  • Consult on all matters of offshore wind O&M and asset management; such as developing/reviewing O&M concepts, strategies and OPWC models, developing/reviewing employers’ requirements, reviewing as part of a due diligence assignment, leading O&M readiness work packages, advising on optimizing asset management and/or life extension issues
