Title: Graduate Engineer
Location: Central London

Description of the Job Role

The Offshore Wind Engineer will work within a team on engineering and consultancy assignments for a range of offshore wind farm projects. The work will include the review, analysis and interpretation of technical data related to offshore wind farms, the preparation of consultancy reports, package & project management for the delivery of offshore wind farm packages. Opportunities to work offshore on the investigation or installation of the world’s biggest offshore wind farms will be possible.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work on a variety of offshore wind projects, including those in development and construction
  • Prepare and assist with technical inputs on projects
  • Prepare and assist with review, analysis and interpretation of technical data
  • Assist with report writing and writing Technical Notes
  • Undertake analytical work, create and maintain spreadsheets and databases
  • Undertake R&D projects including developing innovative engineering tools and solutions
  • Attend regular internal meeting and external / third party meetings as required
  • Ensure all deliverables are conducted in full compliance with approved instructions, procedures and policies
  • All other tasks as appropriately assigned or requested

Specific Requirements

  • The role is primarily office based, but some travel may be involved
  • Offshore work can be provided if desired



  • Minimum 2.1 Class Degree in Engineering, specialising in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar)

Work Experience


  • Proven record undertaking academic projects or work experience in an engineering organisation


  • Previous relevant work experience in the offshore wind industry is an advantage

  • Good interpersonal skills, a strong team player with pro-active approach
  • Ability to apply engineering knowledge to diverse range of problems
  • Well organised, insightful and a self-starter
  • Good communication skills and excellent report writing skills
  • High level of proficiency in English language
  • Ability to work under own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Analytical ability with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team including engineers, contract managers and QHSE personnel
  • Good sales and business development techniques


  • Sound and basic technical knowledge of offshore wind farm design and construction, with some specialist experience and skill in related areas
  • Proficient in French, German, Mandarin or another language is an advantage

General Requirements

Candidates must have unrestricted Right to Work in the UK and available to start Summer/ Autumn 2018.
