Official Opening of OWC’s Hamburg office

19th January 2016 – Offshore Wind Consultants Limited, part of Oslo-listed Aqualis ASA, welcomed the German offshore wind industry to celebrate the official opening of its Hamburg office. The office will serve as an operating base in Germany for both Offshore Wind Consultants and Aqualis Offshore.

Trianel GmbH, RWE Innogy and Vattenfall were among the companies in attendance where they discussed the market and other offshore wind issues with Offshore Wind Consultant and Aqualis experts from Germany, the United Kingdom and Norway.

The new Hamburg office will be used as the operating base for Offshore Wind Consultants growing client and project work based in the region, and will also provide a base for other Aqualis Group services in this geographical sector.

2015 featured the biggest single increase in renewable electricity in German history, 32 TWh. Offshore wind also had an amazing performance, growing from a mere 1.4 TWh to 8.1 TWh during the year.

Offshore Wind Consultants is a globally focused consultancy providing independent services to the offshore renewables industry. The company was acquired by Aqualis ASA in June 2014.

Offshore Wind Consultants’ newly established German company will trade under the name of OWC (AQUALIS) GmbH.
